Together, we can solve the climate crisis

Everything we do – eating, shopping and moving about – causes emissions. To solve the climate crisis, we have to reduce our emissions and remove the extra CO₂ that is already in the atmosphere.

Calculate and compensate your personal carbon footprint

The Compensate Climate Action app

Let's turn climate anxiety into climate action. With the Compensate Climate Action app, you can understand your personal carbon footprint , take action to reduce your CO₂ emissions, and compensate for the rest! You can update your footprint and compensation subscription at any time, and see how your personal impact is adding up. If you need to fly, it's also possible to evaluate the climate impact of different flight options and compensate for your past and future flights.

Unlike many similar flight compensation options available, we don't cut any corners here. Compensate takes into account the full climate impact caused by flying, which results in a x2 difference in emissions if you compare Compensate with other providers. Knowing the true cost of flying will help most of us decide whether flying is really necessary.

Compensate Climate Action app is provided by the non-profit Compensate Foundation and is available free of charge in most EU countries and the UK – more countries to come!

Where does my money go?

The app funds are handled by non-profit Compensate Foundation and we direct 100% of the money (after VAT) paid for compensation to the most impactful carbon projects from Compensate's portfolio and we also apply overcompensation to ensure that a real climate impact is achieved.

But we're not done yet

Together, we can solve the climate crisis. Let’s become carbon negative today.

The global average carbon footprint is 5,000 kg CO₂e per person.* This figure represents lots of people worldwide whose lives produce smaller emissions than this, and lots of people who produce greater emissions. If we want to stop global warming at the critical threshold of 1.5 degrees, we must all do our part to lower the average carbon footprint drastically — it must go down to 2,500 kg CO₂e by 2030, and to just 700 kg CO₂e by 2050.
